Debbie is a collaborative legal professional, mediator and conflict coach.
Debbie is also a Collaborative Team Trainer in the Region of Waterloo and provides training to legal, financial and family professionals in collaborative team practice and Inter-Personal Violence and Power Imbalance, Unconscious Bias and Trauma Informed Lawyering.
Debbie received certification in conflict resolution and mediation from the University of Waterloo.
THE YUKON
Debbie lived in the Yukon for more than 20 years, and maintains practicing status with the Yukon Law Society providing collaborative divorce, mediation and conflict coaching services to all Yukon communities.
Debbie is Acting Discipline Chair of the Yukon Law Society, Director of Mediation Yukon and is the the Yukon’s Judicial Compensation Commissioner https://yukon.ca/en/judicial-compensation-commission-2022-report .
Appointed by the Minister of Health and Social Services in 2018, Debbie was the lawyer representative on a 6 person committee that conducted a comprehensive review of the Child and Family Services Act entitled “Embracing the Children of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”. The review contains 149 Required Actions and was tabled in the Yukon Legislature in October 2019.
